Game Objective
Divide the whole grid into rectangles. Each rectangle must contain exactly one numbered square, and the number of squares inside that rectangle must equal the number. For example, a 6 can be a 1x6, 2x3, 3x2, or 6x1 rectangle.
Divide the grid into rectangles with areas equal to the numbers.
How to Play
Drag from one corner or square center to another to draw a rectangle. You can also drag along a grid line to draw one border at a time, or click a single edge to draw or erase it.
These puzzles reward careful deduction more than speed. Start with the most constrained clues, eliminate impossible choices step by step, and avoid guessing unless the puzzle specifically calls for it.
Beginner Tips
- Start with small numbers and numbers near edges; they usually have fewer rectangle shapes that can fit.
- A clue of 1 must be a one-square rectangle.
- Rectangles cannot overlap, and every square in the grid must belong to exactly one rectangle.
