Same Game is one of the classic one-player logic games in Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection. Clear the grid by removing touching groups of the same colour squares.

Game Objective
Remove groups of same-colored squares and try to clear as much of the board as possible. A removable group must contain at least two squares of the same color connected up, down, left, or right; diagonal touching does not count.

How to Play
Click a square once to highlight its connected same-color group and preview the move. Click the highlighted group again to remove it. After removal, squares above fall down, and empty columns are compressed.
These puzzles reward careful deduction more than speed. Start with the most constrained clues, eliminate impossible choices step by step, and avoid guessing unless the puzzle specifically calls for it.
Beginner Tips
- Single isolated squares cannot be removed, so avoid leaving lone squares behind.
- Removing a larger group scores better than removing many tiny groups.
- Before removing a group, look at which colors will touch after the pieces fall; that can create a bigger group later.
