Game Objective

Fill every square that is not a mirror with a ghost, vampire, or zombie. Mirrors are the fixed slash marks / and \ on the board; when the sight line reaches one, it turns like reflected light and continues in the new direction. Edge numbers count the monsters visible along that reflected sight line. Zombies are always visible; vampires are visible only before the view has reflected in a mirror; ghosts are visible only after at least one mirror reflection.

Place ghosts, vampires and zombies so that the right numbers of them can be seen in mirrors.

How to Play

Click an empty square and type G or 1 for a ghost, V or 2 for a vampire, or Z or 3 for a zombie. You can also click a monster count at the top to place that monster in the selected square. Press Backspace to erase, and use right-click plus a letter or number for pencil marks.

These puzzles reward careful deduction more than speed. Start with the most constrained clues, eliminate impossible choices step by step, and avoid guessing unless the puzzle specifically calls for it.

Beginner Tips

  • Think of the sight line as a ray entering from an edge clue; a / or \ mirror bends it 90 degrees.
  • Before the first mirror, vampires and zombies can be counted; after a mirror reflection, ghosts and zombies can be counted.
  • Also match the total number of each monster type shown by the puzzle; satisfying one edge clue is not enough.
